About Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura is probably the oldest island in the Canaries and the closest to the African coast. Punta de la Entallada is around 100Km from Cape Juby in Marroco.

The island is the second largest of the Canaries but its population is much lower than the other large islands and the island is less developed for tourism.

Furteventura is best known for its beaches. There are over 150 beaches with kilometers of golden sand.

The island is developing rapidly, there are the mature resorts in the south of the island, Moro Jable and Jandia. Ferry services run from Moro Jable to Gran Canaria.

But the center and North of the island is developing rapidly.

On the North tip of the island Coralejo is the ferry port with services to Lanzarote.

In the Centre of the island a golf complex is being developed by the village of Caleta de Fuste.
